MinuteHaul / Guides / tl;dv bulk export options
tl;dv bulk export: every option compared (2026)
Short answer: tl;dv has no “export all” button (tl;dv help center). For more than a handful of meetings you have three routes: script the tl;dv API yourself (Pro or Business), use the TldvExporter Chrome extension ($14.99 lifetime, reads your library in your browser), or use MinuteHaul ($19 one-time, uses the official API, no extension, also covers Fireflies in beta). If you are on tl;dv Free, or price is what matters most, TldvExporter is the cheaper fit. Disclosure: MinuteHaul publishes this page.
The comparison
| Native copy | tl;dv API (DIY) | TldvExporter | MinuteHaul | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bulk? | No, one meeting at a time | Yes, you write the loop | Yes, one ZIP | Yes, one ZIP |
| tl;dv plan needed | Pro or Enterprise for owner and downloader (per tl;dv) | Pro or Business (organizer's plan) | Says Free and Pro | Pro or Business (it uses the API) |
| Price | Included | Included, plus your time | Trial 1 export × 5 meetings, then $14.99 lifetime | 10 most recent meetings free, then $19 one-time, 14-day refund |
| How it works | Copy button on the Transcript tab | x-api-key + REST endpoints | Chrome extension using your logged-in tl;dv session | Web app (any modern browser) or CLI, with your tl;dv API key |
| Formats | Clipboard text | JSON you transform | Markdown, TXT or JSON | Markdown per meeting, index.csv, optional JSONL and combined TXT |
| Other tools | - | - | tl;dv only | tl;dv and Fireflies (beta) |
| Video | Separate download | Recording endpoint | No (transcripts only) | No (transcripts and metadata) |
1. tl;dv's native copy, one meeting at a time
Open a meeting, go to the Transcript tab, hover and click copy, then paste it somewhere. tl;dv says both the meeting owner and the person downloading need a Pro or Enterprise plan, and that bulk transcript downloads or exports aren't supported (How to download transcripts). Fine for under ten meetings; slow for a year of calls.
2. The tl;dv API (do it yourself)
tl;dv's API article says access is on the Pro or Business plans only; you create a key under Settings > Personal Settings > API Keys and send it as x-api-key to https://pasta.tldv.io (tl;dv API article, June 2026). Endpoints include list meetings, get a transcript, get notes and download a recording. Two catches: the API is v1alpha1 and may change, and access follows the meeting organizer's plan, so meetings shared with you by a Free-plan organizer aren't exportable through the API. Full spec: doc.tldv.io. Best for developers who want automation or recordings and don't mind maintaining a script. See getting transcripts from the tl;dv API.
3. TldvExporter (Chrome extension)
TldvExporter, listed as “tl;dv Bulk Transcript Exporter”, is an independent extension (not affiliated with tl;dv). What its own pages say, checked Oct 23, 2026 (official site, Chrome Web Store listing):
- Collects meetings from your tl;dv library page (auto-scroll), with an optional keyword filter, and saves one ZIP with date-and-title filenames.
- Exports Markdown, TXT or JSON. Transcripts only, not MP4.
- Targets Free and Pro users without API access. It runs under your existing tl;dv browser session rather than an API key.
- Trial: 1 export of up to 5 meetings. Unlimited: $14.99 lifetime, paid through Polar.
- Says transcripts are processed in your browser and not uploaded to its servers; the store listing's privacy disclosure says it doesn't collect or use your data.
- Chrome Web Store: version 1.5.2, updated Aug 11, 2026, 79 KiB, no ratings yet.
We haven't tested it. Because it reads the tl;dv web app rather than an API, a tl;dv interface change could break it until the developer ships an update; that's a general trait of browser-session tools, not a known issue.
4. MinuteHaul
Paste your tl;dv API key into the MinuteHaul web exporter. It calls tl;dv's official API from your browser (no extension) and builds one ZIP: a Markdown file per meeting, an index.csv of every meeting, and optional all-transcripts.jsonl and combined text for ChatGPT, Claude or NotebookLM. There's also a command-line version. The same $19 covers Fireflies exports (beta). Because it uses the API, it needs a tl;dv Pro or Business plan, so run it before a paid plan ends.
Who each fits
- Fewer than ~10 meetings, paid plan: native copy. Free and done.
- tl;dv Free plan: TldvExporter. The API (and so MinuteHaul) needs Pro or Business; TldvExporter says it works on Free.

- Developers who want automation, recordings or a custom pipeline: the tl;dv API directly.
- Want no browser extension, use Firefox or Safari, or prefer an official-API tool: MinuteHaul.
- Have both tl;dv and Fireflies meetings, or want a CSV index and JSONL for AI tools: MinuteHaul.
- Want to try before paying on more meetings: MinuteHaul's free run covers your 10 most recent meetings; TldvExporter's trial covers 5.
Export every tl;dv meeting through the official API, no extension. Try the MinuteHaul web exporter free on your 10 most recent meetings. All meetings are $19 one-time with a 14-day refund. Export all my tl;dv meetings: $19

FAQ
Does tl;dv have a bulk export button? No. tl;dv's help center says it does not support bulk transcript downloads or exports; the native option is copying one transcript at a time.
Which tl;dv plans have API access? tl;dv's API article (June 2026) says API access is on the Pro or Business plans only, and API access depends on the meeting organizer's plan. The API is in v1alpha1.
What is TldvExporter and how much does it cost? TldvExporter (tl;dv Bulk Transcript Exporter) is an independent Chrome extension that zips transcripts from your tl;dv library as Markdown, TXT or JSON. Its site and Chrome Web Store listing say the trial is 1 export of up to 5 meetings and unlimited is $14.99 lifetime.
Is TldvExporter or MinuteHaul cheaper? TldvExporter is cheaper: $14.99 lifetime versus MinuteHaul's $19 one-time. MinuteHaul's free tier covers your 10 most recent meetings versus TldvExporter's 5.
Can I bulk export tl;dv on the Free plan? Not with the API, which needs Pro or Business. TldvExporter says it works for Free and Pro because it reads your library in your logged-in browser session; we have not tested that claim.
Does any of these export tl;dv video recordings in bulk? TldvExporter says it exports transcripts only, not MP4. The tl;dv API has a recording download endpoint if you script it yourself. MinuteHaul exports transcripts and metadata, not video.
