How to delete your tl;dv account without losing your transcripts

Short answer: Go to Settings, Profile and click Delete account. tl;dv says this removes all of your data and keeps no logs (tl;dv help), so there is nothing to recover afterwards. Export transcripts and recordings first; if you pay for tl;dv, cancel the subscription too.

Step 1: export everything you want to keep

tl;dv's help center says the app doesn't do bulk transcript downloads, and the API only covers meetings organized on Pro, Business or Enterprise (tl;dv API). On Free, recordings are kept for 3 months (tl;dv help).

  1. Transcripts: bulk export tl;dv transcripts through the API while a paid plan is active.
  2. Recordings: download each recording you want as MP4.
  3. Invoices: download them from Plan & Billing before the plan ends.

Step 2: cancel a paid plan

Settings, Plan & Billing, Manage subscription, then Cancel or pause plan on the Stripe page (tl;dv help). Full steps: how to cancel tl;dv.

Step 3: delete the account

  1. In tl;dv open Settings, then Profile.
  2. Click Delete account and confirm.

tl;dv says deletion removes all data with no logs kept (tl;dv help). If you only want the bot to stop joining calls, turn off auto-recording instead.
