MinuteHaul / Guides / Download a Fireflies recording

How do I download a Fireflies recording (audio or video)?

Short answer: Open the meeting in Fireflies, click the Download icon at the bottom center and choose Video (MP4) or Audio (MP3). Per-meeting downloads need a Pro plan or higher, and video exists only if it was captured. On any plan, including Free, you can request Fireflies' full account data export, a ZIP with every recording, within 24 to 48 hours.

Option 1: download one recording from the meeting page (Pro or higher)

  1. Log in to Fireflies and open Meetings in the left menu.
  2. Find the meeting with the search bar or the filters (My Meetings, All Meetings, Channels).
  3. Open it and click the Download icon at the bottom center.
  4. Pick Video (MP4 only) or Audio (MP3 only) and click Download.

Fireflies says downloading transcripts, summaries and audio or video recordings is available on Pro plans and higher; if the button is disabled, check your plan (Fireflies guide).

Why there is no video option

Option 2: every recording at once, on any plan

Fireflies says it supports full data exports for all users on request. After you approve the confirmation email, Fireflies sends a download link within 24 to 48 hours to a ZIP with all your meetings: audio (MP3), video (MP4), transcripts, summaries, attendee details and JSON metadata. The link is valid for 7 days (Fireflies guide). This is the route for Free-plan users and for anyone leaving Fireflies.

What about transcripts?

MinuteHaul doesn't download audio or video. It exports transcripts: if you want them as searchable files today instead of waiting for the data export, the Fireflies API works on every plan (Free allows 30 requests a minute and 500 a day, per Fireflies API limits).

The Fireflies source in MinuteHaul is in beta. It's built on Fireflies' documented API; if anything looks wrong with your account, email us and we'll fix it or refund you.

Need every Fireflies transcript as files? Pick Fireflies in the MinuteHaul web exporter (beta). It uses Fireflies' official API from your browser and works on the Free plan: one Markdown file per meeting, an index.csv and a combined all-transcripts.txt. Your 10 most recent meetings are free. Buy unlimited: $29 one-time with a 14-day money-back guarantee.
