MinuteHaul / Guides / Fireflies bulk export options

Fireflies bulk export: every option compared (2026)

Short answer: unlike tl;dv, Fireflies has an official bulk export: the account data export, free on every plan, emailed as a ZIP within 24 to 48 hours (Fireflies guide). Most people leaving Fireflies should request it first. If you need files today, in Markdown, CSV or filtered by date, use the Fireflies API yourself, the TranscriptExporter Chrome extension ($29 one-time) or MinuteHaul ($19 one-time, Fireflies support in beta). Disclosure: MinuteHaul publishes this page.

Other tools---Fireflies (separate Fireflies product)Fireflies (beta) and tl;dv

1. Per-meeting download (Pro and higher)

Open a meeting, click the Download icon, and pick Transcript, Summary, Video (MP4) or Audio (MP3). Transcripts come as PDF, DOCX, SRT, CSV, JSON or MD, with optional timestamps and speaker labels. Fireflies says downloads are available on Pro plans and higher, and the button is disabled otherwise (Fireflies: download transcripts, summaries and recordings). Good for a handful of meetings; slow for hundreds.

2. Fireflies' account data export (free, every plan)

Fill in Fireflies' data request form, then approve the confirmation email (“Action Required – Confirm Your Data Export Request” from fred@fireflies.ai). Fireflies says you get a download link within 24 to 48 hours, valid for 7 days, with every meeting's audio (MP3), video (MP4, if recorded), transcripts and summaries as TXT with speaker identification, attendee details and JSON metadata, and that it supports full exports for all users (Fireflies: export your account data). This is the most complete option and costs nothing. The catches are the wait and the format: plain TXT, not Markdown or a sortable index.

3. The Fireflies API (do it yourself)

Copy your API key from Fireflies and query the GraphQL transcripts endpoint, which returns up to 50 meetings per call; page with skip (Fireflies API: transcripts query). Fireflies' limits page lists Free at 30 requests per minute and 500 per day (your first 14 days as an API user run at Pro limits), Pro at 60 per minute and 5,000 per day, and Business and Enterprise at 60 per minute per paid seat, pooled, with no daily cap (Fireflies API limits). An export takes roughly one request per meeting, so a big Free-plan archive may need more than one day. Best for developers who want automation. See Fireflies API keys and rate limits.

4. TranscriptExporter for Fireflies (Chrome extension)

An independent extension (not affiliated with Fireflies) from TranscriptExporter. What its own pages say, checked Oct 23, 2026 (official site, Chrome Web Store listing):

We haven't tested it. Its store listing quotes a Free/Pro limit of 50 API requests a day, which doesn't match Fireflies' current limits page (500 on Free, 5,000 on Pro); go by Fireflies' page.

5. MinuteHaul

Pick Fireflies in the MinuteHaul web exporter, paste your Fireflies API key, and it builds one ZIP in your browser: a Markdown file per meeting (optionally with Fireflies' overview, action items and keywords), an index.csv of every meeting and a combined text file for ChatGPT, Claude or NotebookLM. There's also a command-line version. Fireflies support is beta; the same $19 covers tl;dv exports. It doesn't export audio or video, so pair it with the account data export if you want recordings.

What about MetaWhisp?

MetaWhisp's “export before you cancel” guide ranks for these searches, but MetaWhisp isn't a Fireflies exporter. It's a Mac voice-to-text and meeting-notes app (free, Pro $7.77 a month or $30 a year per its site), and its guide sends Fireflies users to the same account data export described above. It also says MetaWhisp can't import transcripts exported from other apps as meetings (MetaWhisp guide, MetaWhisp site).
