How to cancel your Fireflies free trial before you are charged
Short answer: Go to Settings, Billing, click Cancel Trial, pick a reason, click Continue, then Cancel your Free trial (Fireflies guide). The 7-day trial is on the Business plan, needs a card and is charged automatically when it ends. Cancelling ends the trial immediately and moves the account to Free; your data stays, but per-meeting downloads need Pro or higher, so export first.

How the Fireflies trial works
- The free trial is 7 days on the Business plan. A card is required, nothing is charged during the trial, and the subscription is charged automatically after 7 days unless you cancel (Fireflies guide).
- Your trial end date is shown at the top of the dashboard and under Settings, Billing.
- A trial can't be restarted once it's used or cancelled.
Step 1: export what you recorded during the trial
Cancelling the trial switches the account to Free right away, not at the end of the 7 days (Fireflies guide). On Free the per-meeting Download button is gone, because Fireflies says downloads need Pro or higher (Fireflies guide). So download anything you want as a file before you click cancel. For many meetings, see export your Fireflies meetings before you cancel.
Step 2: cancel the trial
- Open the Fireflies web app and go to Settings, then Billing.
- Click Cancel Trial.
- Choose a reason and click Continue.
- Click Cancel your Free trial to confirm.
Steps from Fireflies' trial guide. If you also started an AskFred / AI credits trial, cancel it separately in the AskFred Add-on section of the same Billing page.
After cancelling
- The account is on the Free plan and your meetings remain, within Free plan limits.
- Already charged because the trial ended? See Fireflies refund policy, then cancel the subscription.
Get every Fireflies transcript as Markdown + CSV in one ZIP before you cancel. Pick Fireflies in the MinuteHaul web exporter (beta). It uses Fireflies' official API from your browser and works on the Free plan: no request form, no 48-hour wait. Your 10 most recent meetings are free; every meeting is $19 one-time with a 14-day refund. Export all my Fireflies meetings: $19
The Fireflies source in MinuteHaul is in beta. It's built on Fireflies' documented API; if anything looks wrong with your account, email us and we'll fix it or refund you.
