How to export tl;dv transcripts to Google Docs

Context: tl;dv's help center says "Right now, we don't support bulk transcript downloads or exports", and the "Allow downloading meetings in bulk" request on its public feature board is marked "in progress" (checked Oct 2026).

Option 1: tl;dv integration workflows or Zapier (new meetings)

tl;dv has a Google Docs integration page, and Zapier offers templates such as "Create Google Docs documents from text for new tl;dv transcripts" (Zapier). These trigger on new notes or transcripts, so they cover meetings from the moment you set them up.

Option 2: Import your existing transcripts as Markdown

Google Docs can import Markdown: in Docs use File → Open → Upload, or in Drive upload the file and choose Open with → Google Docs (Google Docs Help). Since October 2026 Docs can also open and edit .md files directly without converting them (Google Docs Help).

Export your tl;dv transcripts as Markdown files.
Upload the transcripts/ folder to Google Drive.
Open any file in Google Docs (or keep them as .md files that Docs renders).
Upload index.csv and open it with Google Sheets to get a sortable list of every meeting.

Can Google Docs open Markdown transcripts? Yes. Google Docs can import Markdown as a Doc (File > Open, or Open with Google Docs in Drive), and since October 2026 it can open and edit .md files natively.

Do Zapier workflows copy my past tl;dv meetings? Zapier's tl;dv triggers fire on new events such as a transcript being added, so they don't backfill older meetings.

Can I get one spreadsheet of all my meetings? Yes. Upload the index.csv from the export to Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets.
