Short answer: Fireflies has an "Import Data" migration tool. Its migration article lists imports from Fathom, Grain, Read.ai, Granola, Otter, Gong and Chorus, and tl;dv is not on that list (checked Oct 2026). Fireflies also says Import Data is available on request. To keep your tl;dv history, export the transcripts. Optionally, upload recordings to Fireflies so it re-transcribes them.
Context: tl;dv's help center says "Right now, we don't support bulk transcript downloads or exports", and the "Allow downloading meetings in bulk" request on its public feature board is marked "in progress" (checked Oct 2026).
Do this while your tl;dv plan still has API access. The tl;dv API is available when the meeting organizer is on Pro, Business or Enterprise, per tl;dv's API docs. Choose one way to do it:
You get:
transcripts/: one Markdown file per meeting (title, date, organizer, participants, tl;dv link, speaker-labeled and timestamped transcript)index.csv: one row per meeting (id, title, date, duration, organizer, participants, file, status)all-transcripts.txt (optional): every transcript in one text file for ChatGPT, Claude or NotebookLM, split into parts of about 400k words if neededall.jsonl (optional): raw meeting metadata plus transcript segments, one meeting per lineEach Markdown file can also include tl;dv's AI notes for that meeting when the API returns them.
tl;dv lets you download a recording as MP4 from the meeting page. Per tl;dv's help center, both the recording owner and the downloader need a Pro or Enterprise plan, and the downloader needs editor or admin rights. The same article says bulk downloads aren't supported. tl;dv's API article also documents GET /v1alpha1/meetings/{meetingId}/download, which returns a signed download URL that expires after 6 hours. MinuteHaul exports transcripts, not video.
Per Fireflies' rate-limit article, uploads count toward a monthly limit of 3,000 minutes per source for individual accounts, with overage billed at $0.01 per extra minute. Fireflies creates a new transcript from the audio, so your tl;dv transcript text and AI notes don't transfer. Keep the exported Markdown as the original record.
Plain Markdown stays readable in any tool. Some places to put it: Notion, Obsidian, Google Docs, or search across it with ChatGPT, Claude or NotebookLM. To tidy a single transcript, use the free transcript cleaner.
Pre-order MinuteHaul: $29 one-time or try it free on your 10 most recent meetings
Pre-order: the exporter ships within 7 days of your purchase. If it is not delivered to you in that time, you get an automatic full refund. Requires a paid tl;dv plan with API access: per tl;dv's API docs, the meeting organizer must be on Pro, Business or Enterprise.
Can Fireflies import my tl;dv meetings directly? Fireflies' Import Data tool lists Fathom, Grain, Read.ai, Granola, Otter, Gong and Chorus as sources; tl;dv is not listed (checked Oct 2026).
Can I upload tl;dv recordings to Fireflies? Yes, if you download them from tl;dv first. Fireflies accepts MP3, M4A, WAV, MP4 and WEBM, up to 150 minutes per file, and uploads count toward monthly upload limits.
Will my tl;dv AI notes move to Fireflies? No. Uploading a recording creates a new Fireflies transcript. Export your tl;dv transcripts and notes to keep them.
Is MinuteHaul affiliated with Fireflies or tl;dv? No. MinuteHaul is independent.
