How to use your tl;dv transcripts in ChatGPT

Asking an AI assistant across your whole meeting history ("what did customers say about pricing this quarter?") needs the transcripts as files first. tl;dv's help center says it doesn't currently support bulk transcript downloads, so the first step is an export.

Step 1: Export your transcripts

Export your meetings as text: manually, via the API, or with MinuteHaul' all-transcripts.txt option, which puts every meeting into one file.

Step 2: Mind ChatGPT's file limits

Per OpenAI's help center (checked Oct 2026):

Because the per-project file count is small, a few large combined files work better than hundreds of single-meeting files.

Step 3: Upload to a Project

  1. Create a ChatGPT Project, e.g. "Customer calls 2026".
  2. Add all-transcripts.txt (or its parts) and index.csv as project files.
  3. Ask questions that cite meetings by title and date, which are in each transcript header.

Privacy note

Meeting transcripts contain other people's words and often personal data. Check your company's policy and your ChatGPT data settings before uploading.

FAQ

Can ChatGPT read my tl;dv transcripts? Yes, as files. OpenAI's help center lists DOCX, PDF and TXT for documents. MinuteHaul' combined export is a .txt file.

How many transcripts can I add to a ChatGPT Project? Projects allow 5 files on Free, 25 on Go and Plus, and 40 on Edu, Pro, Business and Enterprise. Combining many meetings into one text file works around the count limit.

Is there a size limit per file? Text files are capped at 512 MB and 2 million tokens each, per OpenAI's help center.

Is MinuteHaul affiliated with OpenAI or tl;dv? No. It is independent.
